Ambulance Adventure
As the midwives are still away I wasn’t able to go out again this morning however there was still some excitement in the day!
We went out for bubble tea around mid-morning, a drink popular in the Philippines which has jelly bead type things in the bottom. It was so bizarre I’m not really sure how to explain it!

We then got another trike to the supermarket to get some extra supplies like fresh fruit etc. I also has a mango drink that was pretty much just ice and fresh mango blended together and it was sooo delicious 😀

Rebecca has trouble with the bags for the fresh fruit…she needs a little time. I left her to it.

When we got back to the centre not much was going on until a woman came in at 7cm with her fourth child. However, she has a heart issue and was not allowed to deliver at our centre without a note from the doctor – which she did not have… Therefore we drove her to the nearby hospital in the ambulance, but they didn’t admit her as (I believe) they didn’t feel confident they had the right equipment. Then we put the siren on and sped to the next hospital – which was an…experience. I was sitting backwards and we were winding through the traffic and so I felt so travel sick! Once we got to the hospital it took them over an hour to register etc. so we were there for a while. (I may or may not have had a nap) I had also ordered food for lunch which had arrived just as we were leaving so I was starting to get very hungry! We got home about 5pm where I finally had my lunch after having to lie down for a bit because I got travel sick again!
