Bye Bye Bamboo House
Today was the last day of our trip and Rebecca still wasn’t feeling any better so we agreed to go back early.
Cindy and Sarah decided to go for a hike but I’m far to lazy and susceptible to heat for that so I stayed in my trusty hammock all morning and started to read!! Haven’t been able to read for pleasure uninterrupted for a long time so it was nice.

So nice to just chill in the sun without it being too hot or too uncomfortable!

We left just before lunch and got a shuttle back to the docks, Rebecca had managed to keep some liquids down so she used the scraps of energy she had to walk down the many stairs – of course we were staying on the top floor!

Around the docks there are loads of people trying to sell all sorts of things, on the boat we bought some Buko Juice which I think is the water from a young coconut. Coconut is the one thing I’ve definitely been converted to liking since being here – although more milk and water than actual coconut.

In total our journey back took about 6 hours!
When we got back home, the doctor was there waiting for Rebecca and after asking a few questions he suspected she had dengue fever! Therefore gave her an IV which took a couple times including a burst vein as she was so dehydrated, some antibiotics and some paracetamol to take away the fever. None of the labs were open when we returned so she went on Thursday morning.
