Where Has The Time Gone?
Today I actually woke up on time (what) and was downstairs before 6:45am!!
Today was new patients day so it takes a bit of time. The women need to give their family history, have their vitals taken, listen to a seminar, have blood and urine test and an ultrasound so they’re at the centre for a few hours!
I started the day with taking women’s vitals – when I arrived here everyone told me I’ll learn how to take vital signs in no time and I didn’t believe them but look at me now!! Taking blood pressure left, right and centre.
After this I started on doing some paperwork as the centre is moving from paper records to electronic; it’s a way I can feel like I’m actually doing something useful but deciphering the midwives’ handwriting is a challenge!
After my shift I accidentally took a nap (honest) and then when I woke Becka, Sarah and I went to the market and to Robinson’s where Costa is <3 It’s probably the last time I’ll be going to Robinson’s and it’s almost been a type of escape for me – going somewhere more familiar and similar to home.

This evening I got fed up with my stuff being all over the flat so I did a complete tidy up and then realised that soon I’ll be needing to pack up all my stuff!! Can’t believe how quickly the time has gone, feels like I’ve barely been here two weeks and I’ve had the best time but I’m excited to go home. I miss my niece and my dog! Not my parents though… 😉
😀
SS&K will be in Devon when you come back. Glad you’ve had a good time. Love Nanny xx
