Jeepney Time

3rd November 2017 0 comments Article Phillipines Blog

This morning I sat in on the ultrasounds. If the women were willing they would also have an IE. The midwife located the head and measured it, and when possible the femur, and also found the heartbeat and measured the foetus’ heart tone. Was so bizarre to see the foetus’ heartbeat literally beating on the screen!

These lasted most of the morning and after lunch I was helping assemble bag full of free goodies for the women to take away at a baby shower that is being hosted soon. So many baby hats and boots and blankets and nappies!

After this Becka, Sarah and I went to immigration as Sarah and Becka had to renew their visas and then we went to cinema which was so cheap compared to England…I was able to actually buy popcorn!?!? It came in a cool tub:

After the film we came home on a jeepney which was the first time I’ve ridden one since being here…I think I’ll stick to cars or trikes. Took some photos but they’re very blurry so just pretend they’re artistic

When we got home we had this fruit which I always thought was new potatoes called ‘lanzones’. It kind of looks a bit like fish but was so sweet and so delicious mm
