Zzzzzzzz
Today I woke up bright and early at 6am, thinking I was going into the community, only to find there was some confusion with my rota. This allowed me to go back to sleep and wake up at a more reasonable hour!
I was grateful to have a chilled morning as the last three days have been busy with a lot of walking in the heat and it is very hot at the moment so I was able to tidy up our flat and do a bit of cleaning.
This afternoon I was working on my university application…trying to squeeze everything I want to say about my time here into one paragraph is proving very difficult! I could go on for pages and pages about what I’ve done and what I’m learning but I only get 4000 characters for my personal statement which is proving to not be enough! Hoping to get that sent off as soon as I can. I also continued to read a book I mention in my statement.

This evening while making dinner Rebecca suddenly shouts “DROP EVERYTHING LET’S GO” and runs up to the roof where we see the most beautiful sunset.
I was intending to go downstairs this evening to observe, as it been quite busy today due to the student midwives being here, but it is just so hot I know I’ll just overheat or faint or make myself feel worse. It’s frustrating sometimes but I know the hassle and the annoyance if I made myself ill. I know 100% I’m going into the community tomorrow though, so hopefully will get a bit more experience then.
