Homeward Bound

So today was my last day in the Philippines! Don’t think I’ve ever been equally sad and excited to leave somewhere – I’ve had the best time but I do miss England and the comforts of home.

This morning I went to church as my flight wasn’t until this afternoon and when I got back was time to say goodbye to Becka, Sarah and some other friends and the midwives that were on shift.

Once I got to the airport my flight was delayed by an hour and half but only arrived half an hour late! I’m currently sat in Dubai airport enjoying my EIGHT HOUR layover. I’m very tired and dreading jet lag again but looking forward to coming home and sleeping in my own bed – none of this feels real but I’ve had the best time and hope to return when I’m a qualified midwife!
